We are on a sustainability journey.

Like many other small businesses, Thrive is on a journey to be socially responsible and more environmentally conscious in order to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.

Our work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals in a number of ways, specifically to:

Our Purpose

All our work reflects our purpose - to boost the number of female-led small businesses in the world.

In the UK, where Thrive is based, in 2020, 16% of SME employers were led by women (meaning that they were either led by one woman or by a management team that is majority female). Female-led SMEs with no employees accounted for 21% of all SMEs with no employees (Business Statistics, House of Commons Library, 2021). This is why we are determined to address the gender imbalance within the small business world, and boost the number of female-led small businesses, until it is at least equal to that of male-led small businesses in the UK.

Our Impact

Female founders who access our events and business support improve their business skills, develop their entrepreneurial ideas and build a more resilient small business. 

Our event attendees also make meaningful connections with other women in business who can - in time - become clients or strategic, collaborative partners.

Our Fundraising Activities

At our quarterly brunches, hosted in partnership with the Barclays Eagle Labs team in Brighton, we fundraise for The Network for International Women of Brighton and Hove (NIWBH). So far in 2022, we have donated 100% of our tickets sales income to NIWBH - totalling £775!

Our Products

Our first product - the 'Ignite Your Creative Thinking in Business' prompt cards - are printed using non GM-modified vegetable-based inks, on FSC-certified, uncoated recycled paper.

Furthermore, all our products are designed to be used over and over again, throughout the lifecycle of your business.
